NEWS- NOTE THE RECENT ADDITIONS TO OUR WEBSITE
  1. The new range of larger generators with the latest versions of Perkins and Volvo Penta engines.
  2. A complete range of Light Towers features include manual and hydraulic raise and lower, optional with or without generators. Towers can be driven by Mosa welders and simultaneously utilize the welding output while powering the light tower, they are available in site tow and road tow configurations, the units can be plugged directly into the mains and are compact for transport purposes.

NEWS - DSP IS HERE!!!

DSP or Digital Signal Processing is the latest breakthrough in a new world of Engine Driven Welders. The DSP models are powered by the most modern, fuel efficient, diesel engines, made by leading engine manufacturers with service networks all over the world. The DSP Models comply with the stringent EC (European Community) directives for noise reduction and safety.

Below are the comparisons between the DSP and Conventional Analogic Engine Driven Welders

New DSP with Chopper Technology
Conventional Analogic Engine Driven Welders
  • Digital electronic current control at high frequency (40 KHz) for more stable welding arc.
  • Traditional current control using normal rectifiers (SCR's) results in ripple which causes spatter and an unstable arc.
  • MOSA proprietary software controls all the welding parameters (with Chopper Technology) not only the current.
  • Only the current can be controlled and it is not possible to adjust any other welding parameters.
  • TIG welding "Contact-Start" easy to use.
  • TIG welding requires HF box.
  • Higher efficiency means more power (up to 14%) available for welding and
  • Less welding power from the same source (engine).
  • More auxiliary power available while welding.
  • Less the auxiliary power available while welding.
  • No reactance needed to smooth welding output means:
  • Reactance required to smooth the ripple and reduce spatter means:
  • Less weight
  • More weight
  • Less voltage drop and
  • Lower arc voltage and
  • Less heat and heat related problems
  • Genetrates unnecessary heat and current loss
  • Optional VRD (Voltage Reduction Device) for Australia.
  • No VRD available from the factory
